I want to add to this list:

1. Big Yellow Moon cd single - DIY Promo item to be sent to radio stations / Lenin Imports (Wrecked Car Cover)
2. Exhibition Pieces - 16 track Bill Nelson sampler
3. Astroluxe - Almost Opaque Records (AOCD-002?)

Haven´t got any of these. Could someone tell me their release dates?

FIrst off, I'm a new forum member, so I apologize in advance to all and sundry if I am the 3000th person to bring this up. But...

BANDCAMP.

Considering how prolific Bill is, and how quickly many of his releases sell out quickly never to be repressed, and how cost-prohibitive it is for him to offer second pressings, and how rapacious resellers are in parting with their copies (not a penny of which goes to Bill)...why not Bandcamp? Has anyone discussed this service with Bill on the Forum here? I imagine they have.

Cheers.

Martin

Yes, indeed. While I'm no expert on Bandcamp and have always preferred actually owning the artefact of a CD, I was pleased to be able to buy all the missing bits and pieces (singles/EPs) by The Church's Steve Kilbey a couple of weeks ago. Receiving them all in full CD audio quality was important to me as well. Perhaps Bill could try the system out with some similar bits and pieces from the older archives before considering whether it's a good route for any entire albums. I'd prefer all the new albums to stay on lovingly created CDs but Bandcamp seems a wise idea for satisfying the pestering that we (the listeners) do about the stuff that will never be likely to get a full CD release. "Caliban", fo example?!?

I prefer CD's as well, but as getting CD's of such albums as Satellite Songs or Noise Candy or Alchemical Adventures or Neptune's Galaxy or Demonstrations of Affection and so on and so on is pretty much an impossibility now for those who didn't snap them up the first time (and who don't care to fork over $400 to some despicable Amazon reseller), Bandcamp seems the one viable solution to keeping Bill's vast catalogue alive. I really hope he pursues it.
